Assessing your community’s disaster resilience is done by first completing the Aboriginal Resilience Index (ARI) and Hazard Resilience index (HRI). These tools were adapted specifically for use in Aboriginal and remote settings. You will need to complete both categories in the ARI (Community Resources and Disaster Management), and those hazard categories in the HRI that you have identified as “High Risk” in your Hazard Risk Profile. In order to help you complete both the Aboriginal Resilience Index and the Hazard Resilience Index you will find the two sets of instructions on how to complete the process very helpful. Click on the “Aboriginal Resilience Index Overview and Instructions” and the “Hazard Resilience Index Overview and Instructions” under Resources on the right to access the ARI and HRI tools
Click the buttons below, or click the Tools and Reports link in the menu in the top right to access the ARI and HRI tools.
